only fly fishing was allowed, so 12 years ago I got myself the first fly rod. Since this year, I have been going for 30 years.

Which flies must not be missing in a box?

Since I have been fly tying I have become very fussy, but Goddard Caddis, Klinkhamer and small CDC flies must always be there. My Joker color is definitely orange.

What time of the year is your personal favorite?

Absolutely every year after the spawning break, when the first Insects fly again.

What are your favorite travel destinations?

Los Roques has captivated me. The next trip is also planned. Otherwise it has been going to Slovenia at least once a year for 6 years.
Slovenia has always been something very special to me, because my father lives there.

What’s on the bucket list?

A big dream is fishing on GT’s on Alphonso Island. Another desive Is going to New Zealand and catch big browntrouts.

Can you tell us a little about your home waters?

I live in northern Germany near Hamburg. In my region there are not many typical trout streams with clear water and fast flow. The rivers are more the opposite, slowly flowing and cloudiness. But here, too, there is always great surprise in the form of big trouts.
