I’ve been fishing since I was eight years old and I’m tying flies for more than 25 years.
Who introduced you to fly fishing?
I met an old man in a fishing store who introduced me to fly fishing and showed me how to cast.
Can you tell us a little about your home waters and the fish you pursue there?
The waters vary from small rivers to mid-size streams. There I pursue trouts and graylings. During fall there’s an additional salmon run.
What’s the height of the season for you? What time of year is your personal favorite?
The height of a season is spring and fall which are my favorite seasons too. During the winter time I also like to fish small graylings.
What are your favorite travel destinations? What’s on the bucket list?
Scandinavia is my favorite destination, Canada and Iceland are two spots that are on top of my bucket list.
What you like most about Thomas and Thomas rods? Which rods do you fish?
The rods are made for fishing and provide for a lot of backbone.
What’s your current go-to fly?
I like fishing with my own designed and created “Wuppernymphe”. I tie a lot of different flies, especially nymphs, tube flies and classic salmon flies.
